Japan House London
As an organization with unique cultural and operational needs in a leased building, Japan House faces a few challenges in implementing long-term sustainability strategies.
Japan House's involvement in the South Ken ZEN+ Programme has helped them to accelerate their efforts by tapping into collective expertise and enabling them to use tools shared and developed by the group - so they haven't had to 'reinvent the wheel'.
South Ken ZEN+ has empowered Japan House London to establish their first-ever emissions baseline. This will give them the evidence they need to proactively engage their landlords - and suppliers - in constructive discussions about possible Scope 1 and 2 emissions reductions.
Through engagement with South Ken ZEN+ workstreams, Japan House continues to gain valuable insights into how to progress its journey towards net-zero - both as a stand-alone cultural organisation but also as part of a bigger collective.
